My awesome boyfriend gifted me with the experience of being zoo keeper for a day at the Santa Barbara Zoo. I got to pick animals to hang out with---it couldn't have been a more perfect gift. Except I couldn't utilize it in March ( when I got it for my birthday) because...the giraffes were pregnant, so we needed to wait until the babies were born and on exhibit. Baby giraffes?!! My perfect gift got even more perfect. This was such a wonderful day, that I have to post about it in two parts: The morning and the afternoon.
Santa Clarita City Hall First Floor Gallery
I recently had one of my photos accepted into the Santa Clarita City Hall First Floor Gallery:
Each month, a new theme is exhibited, and this month just happened to be clouds (right up my alley!) It's very exciting to see my art work on the wall, and I'm grateful to everyone who has taken a few moments to stop and appreciate it.
If you are in or around Santa Clarita and have a chance, stop by to check out the Gallery, there are some really cool pieces in the exhibit this month.

Thank you to the City of Santa Clarita for creating the Art in Public Places Program!
And thank you for stopping by!
Which do you like better?
It was recently suggested to me to rotate an image from the 3rd Annual Scott Kelby Photo Walk at the Venice Canals, CA. My response was, "But I like it this way better." However, I thought about it again and rotated it. Now leave it up to you, my faithful readers, to tell me which image you like better and why.

And its rotation:
Go!
When you have a moment please...
As you may recall, I recently went on Scott Kelby's 3rd Annual World Wide Photo Walk. This photo won the best image for the local photo walk in Venice Beach, CA, but didn't get too far in the world wide contest.
Which is fine, I really wasn't expecting to win. And receive fame, fortune, and a ton of cool prizes. OK, or just the cool prizes.
But you, dear readers, have the power to vote for the People's Choice award:
http://worldwidephotowalk.com/peoples-choice/page/8/
It is the first photo in the sixth row. Don't be afraid to give it 5 stars all the way.
Thank you in advance for your vote!
And thank you, as always, for stopping by.
